Central Java Food Prices Thursday (5/12): Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (5/12/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, milkfish, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), dry soybean seeds (import), chicken eggs, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili peppers saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,730 (6.72%) to Rp27,460 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil fell the most, dropping Rp330 (1.91%) to Rp16,940 per liter.
