Current Food Prices in Jambi: Prices of Onions, Chilies, and Cooking Oil Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Jambi today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (17/5/2024) at 14.41 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are shallots, bulk cooking oil, red chilies, garlic bulbs, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken, kembung fish, tongkol fish, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,130 (4.38%) to Rp50,800 per kg. Kembung fish experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp680 (1.95%) to Rp34,160 per kg.
