Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall (Thursday, March 14, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (14/3/2024) at 10:18 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 11 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, red chilies, broiler chicken, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, mackerel, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp17,500 (23.33%) to Rp92,520 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt decreased the most by Rp1,490 (12.68%) to Rp10,260 per kg.

5. Red Onion: Rp40,000 per kg (up 1.7%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp38,620 per kg (up 0.49%)
7. Milkfish: Rp36,940 per kg (down 10.51%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp33,020 per kg (down 10.8%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp32,530 per kg (up 2.81%)
10. Mackerel: Rp32,160 per kg (down 11.16%)
