Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region, Tuesday (August 6th): Chicken Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (August 6, 2024) at 12:20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, skipjack tuna, milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, pure beef, red chili peppers, shallots, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp630 (1.9%) to Rp33,780 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp480 (4.11%) to Rp11,210 per kg.
