Price of Curly Red Chili in Modern Markets for the Period February 2025-2026

Based on the latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) panel, the daily price of curly red chili in modern markets in Central Java province is recorded at Rp71.35 thousand per kg. This price is up Rp3.350 per kg compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price in the last month, the daily price of curly red chili in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp46.7 thousand per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of curly red chili in modern markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 14.99% from the previously recorded Rp62.05 thousand per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of curly red chili in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 83.66%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017 with a decrease of -37.94%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the price of nine staple foods (sembako) today in Central Java shows seven commodities decreased and 17 others increased. The sembako with decreased prices are Grade 2 Beef, Chicken Meat, Granulated Sugar, Medium-Sized Garlic, Rice, Garlic, and Local Granulated Sugar.
