The IMF measures national economies based on projected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) values.
In 2023, Indonesia's GDP is projected to reach US$1.4 trillion. This figure represents 36.7% of ASEAN's total GDP, or 1.4% of the global total GDP.
Besides being the highest in ASEAN, this GDP projection makes Indonesia the 16th largest economy in the world.
Meanwhile, the neighboring country with the lowest projected GDP this year is Timor-Leste, at approximately US$2 billion, or 0.1% of ASEAN's total GDP.
