Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (5/11/2024) at 12:15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, medium-grain rice, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, red chilies, dry soybean (import), garlic cloves, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp2,270 (7.57%), reaching Rp32,270 per kg. Red chilies saw the steepest price drop of Rp3,200 (7.5%), reaching Rp39,480 per kg.
