Jakarta, DKI Region Food Prices Today: Onion Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (13/8/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, bulk wheat flour, shallots, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp960 (2.92%) to Rp33,820 per kg. Iodized fine salt saw the sharpest price drop, falling Rp460 (3.91%) to Rp11,290 per kg.
