New Economic Recovery Budget Realization at 36.1% until Semester I-2021

The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded that the realization of the budget for handling Covid-19 and national economic recovery (PEN) reached Rp 252.3 trillion by June 30, 2021. This figure represents 36.1% of the total budget of Rp 699.43 trillion.

Of this amount, the largest realization was for social protection, reaching Rp 66.43 trillion. This is equivalent to 43.2% of the allocated budget of Rp 153.86 trillion.

The next largest realization was for the UMKM and corporate support program, reaching Rp 51.27 trillion. This is equivalent to 29.9% of the allocated budget of Rp 171.77 trillion.

Furthermore, the realization of the health program budget amounted to Rp 47.71 trillion, or 24.6% of the allocated budget of Rp 193.93 trillion. The realization of the business incentive budget amounted to Rp 45.07 trillion, or 71.7% of the allocated budget of Rp 62.83 trillion.

Meanwhile, the realization of the priority program reached Rp 41.83 trillion. This is equivalent to 35.7% of the allocated budget of Rp 117.04 trillion.

The government has reallocated the budget for handling corona and PEN in line with the implementation of Emergency Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) from July 3-20, 2021. Through this reallocation, the government increased the budget for health, social protection, and business incentives. Meanwhile, the budget for priority programs and UMKM and corporate support was reduced.
