Food Prices in Jakarta on Monday (September 23rd): Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (23/9/2024) at 12:55 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, premium rice, red chilies, shallots, and red chili peppers.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, skipjack tuna, mackerel, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp2,370 (8.24%) to Rp31,140 per kg. Mackerel experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp1,770 (4.81%) to Rp35,000 per kg.
