Indonesia Food Prices Monday (January 6th): Salt and Rice Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (6/1/2025) at 10:51 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include Indian mackerel, dry soybean (import), garlic cloves, skipjack tuna, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, fine iodized salt, red chilies, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel saw the highest increase of Rp1,300 (3.43%) to Rp39,230 per kg. The price of fine iodized salt saw the largest decrease of Rp380 (3.29%) to Rp11,180 per kg.
