Today's Food Prices in Banten March 06: Red Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

Several food commodity prices in Banten today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 15:46 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases include medium rice, red bird's eye chili, premium rice, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as shallots, large red chili, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices rose the most by Rp834 (2.11%) to Rp40,417 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices fell the deepest by Rp625 (1.57%) to Rp39,250 per kg.
