Food Prices Friday (September 26) in South Sumatra: Cayenne Pepper Up, Red Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (September 26, 2025) at 13:22 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 4 increased and 18 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices were broiler chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, packaged wheat flour, Minyakita, consumption sugar, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The red cayenne pepper commodity saw the highest jump of Rp161 (0.38%) to Rp42,206 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chili dropped the most by Rp2,319 (3.74%) to Rp59,651 per kg.
