Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Onions Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (September 3, 2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased in price and 14 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, bulk cooking oil, SPHP rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, fine iodized salt, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,210 (5.45%) to Rp23,420 per kg. Mackerel experienced the steepest price drop of Rp3,560 (11.18%) to Rp28,290 per kg.
