Central Java Food Prices Friday (June 14th): Chicken and Rice Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (14/6/2024) at 13.21 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, dry soybean (import), granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, premium rice, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,250 (2.63%) to Rp48,850 per kg. Shallots saw the sharpest price decrease, dropping Rp530 (1.36%) to Rp38,350 per kg.
