Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili and Oil Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (8/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, simple packaged cooking oil, dry soybean (import), milkfish, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish experienced the highest price increase of Rp710 (2.58%), reaching Rp28,220 per kg. Bulk wheat flour saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp210 (2.34%), reaching Rp8,760 per kg.
