Latest Banten Region Food Prices: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Tuesday, January 30, 2024)

The price of several food commodities in Banten today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (30/1/2024) at 09.13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, garlic cloves, fine iodized salt, granulated sugar, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, red chilies, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt saw the highest price increase of Rp2,170 (22.08%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish had the lowest price decrease of Rp5,160 (16.13%) to Rp26,830 per kg.
