Today's Food Prices (24/2) in South Sumatra: Red Chili, Chicken Meat and Rice Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (February 24, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 4 decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases are broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, premium rice, Minyakita, and broiler chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as wheat flour, red cayenne pepper, large red chili, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp771 (1.78%) to Rp44,125 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices fell the steepest by Rp1,111 (1.86%) to Rp58,678 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,775 per kg (up 0.79%)
6. Shallots: Rp36,569 per kg (down 0.58%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,375 per kg (unchanged)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,892 per kg (up 0.61%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,565 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,176 per kg (unchanged)
