Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Oil Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (6/12/2024) at 12:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, skipjack tuna, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp380 (1.18%) to Rp33,670 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping by Rp610 (1.81%) to Rp33,080 per kg.
