Based on data from *Forbes' Real-Time Billionaires*, the richest person in Asia is currently Mukesh Ambani. As of February 9, 2023, his wealth was recorded at US$83.1 billion, equivalent to Rp1,254.47 trillion (using an exchange rate of Rp15,096/US$).

Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries Ltd, has overtaken Gautam Adani, the conglomerate owner of the Adani Group, as the richest person in Asia. Reliance Industries owns several companies in India operating in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecommunications, and retail.

In second place is Chinese billionaire Zhong Shanshan. The owner of bottled beverage company Nongfu Spring has a net worth of US$68.2 billion.

Gautam Adani is ranked third with a net worth of US$60.2 billion. His wealth has plummeted by hundreds of trillions of rupiah in a short period.

Adani's downfall coincides with the findings of Hindenburg Research, which accused Adani's companies of market manipulation and accounting fraud.

From Indonesia, Low Tuck Kwong is ranked 12th among the richest in Asia. The owner of the coal company PT Bayan Resources has a net worth of US$26.8 billion.
