Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Friday, December 1, 2023)

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (1/12/2023) at 11:43 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, pure beef, fine iodized salt, medium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, farmer-level corn, Indian mackerel, milkfish, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of broiler chicken experienced the highest increase of Rp930 (3.47%), reaching Rp27,760 per kg. The price of milkfish saw the lowest decrease of Rp6,420 (17.16%), reaching Rp31,000 per kg.
