Latest Jakarta Capital Region Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (6/12/2024) at 10:48 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include simple packaged cooking oil, curly red chilies, pure beef, shallots, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), medium rice, milkfish, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp5,940 (17.44%) to Rp40,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the steepest decrease of Rp12,830 (33.91%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 19 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on December 6, 2024, at 10:48 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Shallots: Rp45,000 per kg (up 5.19%)
3. Red Chilies: Rp45,000 per kg (up 6.13%)
4. Garlic Bulb: Rp40,000 per kg (down 0.77%)
5. Curly Red Chilies: Rp40,000 per kg (up 17.44%)
6. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (down 7.85%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 22.93%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 19.87%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (down 1.75%)
10. Broiler Chicken: Rp25,000 per kg (down 33.91%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp20,000 per liter (up 7.41%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 2.37%)
13. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 4.96%)
