Yogyakarta Special Region's Current Food Prices: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, D.I. today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (4/6/2024) at 10:36 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, dry soybean (import), skipjack tuna, Indian mackerel, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, curly red chilies, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was for livestock-level corn, up by Rp640 (13.17%) to Rp5,500 per kg. The lowest price decrease was for shallots, down Rp2,720 (6.35%) to Rp40,110 per kg.
