Tourism Sector Investment Realization Reached Rp 20.9 Trillion in 2018

Tourism sector investment realization last year reached Rp 20.91 trillion. Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) contributed 59.24%, or Rp 12.39 trillion, of this investment value. Domestic Direct Investment (DDI) contributed the remaining 40.76%, or Rp 8.52 trillion.

According to data from the Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar), the largest investment realization was in the hotel and restaurant sub-sector, reaching Rp 18.26 trillion or 87.32%. The second largest investment realization was in the other services sub-sector, reaching 8.62% or Rp 1.8 trillion.

Furthermore, investment realization in the tourism area sub-sector reached Rp 778.16 billion or 3.72%. Investment realization in the tourism supporting transportation sub-sector reached Rp 72.13 billion or 0.35%.
