Today's Food Prices in West Java: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (25/8/2024) at 14.01 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include iodized fine salt, premium rice, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, mackerel, red chili peppers, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp370 (1.56%) to Rp24,150 per kg. Mackerel experienced the largest price drop of Rp2,680 (6.92%) to Rp36,030 per kg.

7. Mackerel: Rp36,030 per kg (down 6.92%)
8. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp35,290 per kg (up 0.11%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,580 per kg (down 0.41%)
10. Shallots: Rp24,150 per kg (up 1.56%)
