Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall (Monday, March 11, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today have been observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (11/3/2024) at 13.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, broiler chicken, simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chili peppers, bulk wheat flour, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp770 (2.31%) to Rp34,070 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the lowest by Rp660 (1.05%) to Rp61,900 per kg.
