Sumatera Barat Food Prices on Tuesday (November 19th): Onion Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (19/11/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), chicken eggs, skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, curly red chilies, dry soybean seeds (import), red chilies, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most, by Rp1,870 (5.83%) to Rp33,970 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies decreased the most, by Rp6,490 (16.55%) to Rp32,720 per kg.
