Latest Food Prices in East Java: Salt Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (28/6/2024) at 09.15 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, dry soybeans (import), bulk cooking oil, iodized fine salt, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, shallots, medium rice, garlic bulbs, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase is skipjack tuna, up by Rp2,500 (8.53%) to Rp31,800 per kg. The commodity with the largest price decrease is corn at the farmer level, down by Rp380 (7.28%) to Rp4,840 per kg.
