Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (21/8/2024) at 08.02 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, skipjack tuna, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, farmer-level corn, milkfish, pure beef, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Broiler chicken prices increased the most by Rp1,000 (2.85%) to Rp36,040 per kg. Milkfish prices decreased the most by Rp3,340 (10.05%) to Rp29,890 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on August 21, 2024, at 08.02 WIB.

8. Milkfish: Rp29,890 per kg (down 10.05%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,890 per kg (up 0.87%)
