Today's Food Price Update in West Java: Oil and Onion Prices Drop (Tuesday, March 12, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (12/3/2024) at 09.04 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, premium rice, medium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, shallots, red chilies, red cayenne peppers, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Medium rice prices surged the highest by Rp490 (3.35%) to Rp15,130 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of fine iodized salt decreased the most by Rp870 (8.37%) to Rp9,520 per kg.
