Food Prices Today in Indonesia: Red Chili Up, Rice Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 2, 2025) at 2:10 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 13 increased and 12 decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include fresh buffalo meat (local), large red chili, consumption salt, curly red chili, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, medium rice, packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, and broiler eggs decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Farmer-level corn prices increased the most by Rp163 (2.46%) to Rp6,791 per kg. Meanwhile, packaged wheat flour prices decreased the most by Rp125 (0.95%) to Rp13,076 per kg.
