East Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Beef Prices Fall (Tuesday, April 9, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (9/4/2024) at 08.10 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, dry soybean (import), bulk wheat flour, red chilies, and red cayenne pepper.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, Indian mackerel, premium rice, granulated sugar, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,060 (11.35%) to Rp10,400 per kg. Farmer-level corn had the lowest price decrease of Rp320 (4.7%) to Rp6,490 per kg.

7. Milkfish: Rp34,040 per kg (up 1.46%)
8. Indian Mackerel: Rp33,020 per kg (down 2.34%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,720 per kg (up 5.21%)
10. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,310 per kg (up 0.11%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,050 per liter (up 1.97%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,830 per kg (down 1.75%)
