Today's Food Prices in East Java: Onion and Rice Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (19/8/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, milkfish, garlic bulbs, farmer-level corn, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, Indian mackerel, SPHP rice, broiler eggs, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp2,020 (6.65%) to Rp32,380 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most by Rp2,520 (4.9%) to Rp48,930 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in East Java according to Bapanas on August 19, 2024, at 12.09 WIB.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp32,870 per kg (down 4.06%)
6. Milkfish: Rp32,380 per kg (up 6.65%)
7. Indian Mackerel: Rp32,240 per kg (down 3.36%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,150 per kg (down 4.74%)
9. Broiler Eggs: Rp25,290 per kg (down 1.21%)
10. Red Onion: Rp19,200 per kg (down 0.67%)
