Latest Food Prices in West Java: Cooking Oil Up, Chilies Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (16/9/2024) at 14.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, kembung fish, broiler chicken meat, granulated sugar, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as whole garlic cloves, SPHP rice, fine iodized salt, dry soybean (import), and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase is livestock-level corn, up by Rp210 (3.9%) to Rp5,590 per kg. The commodity with the steepest price decrease is red chili, down by Rp620 (1.62%) to Rp37,650 per kg.
