Current Food Prices in Banten: Chili and Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (8/9/2024) at 09.58 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, chicken eggs, premium rice, farmer-level corn, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, shallots, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp960 (8.7%) to Rp12,000 per kg. Curly red chilies experienced the largest price drop of Rp7,580 (23.27%) to Rp25,000 per kg.

5. Mackerel Fish: Rp35,500 per kg (down 2.01%)
6. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 12.18%)
7. Milkfish: Rp28,980 per kg (down 11.48%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,000 per kg (up 3.77%)
9. Curly Red Chilies: Rp25,000 per kg (down 23.27%)
10. Shallots: Rp24,000 per kg (down 5.1%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp18,000 per kg (up 2.51%)
