Today's Food Prices (22/4) in West Sumatra: Red Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Meat Prices Fall

Some food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) at 14:47 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities that experienced price increases are curly red chili, bulk palm cooking oil, premium packaged palm cooking oil, Minyakita, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as medium rice, broiler chicken meat, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,433 (3.89%) to Rp38,295 per kg. Meanwhile, broiler chicken meat prices decreased the most by Rp497 (1.32%) to Rp37,256 per kg.
