East Java Food Prices Today: Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (27/9/2024) at 18:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, dry soybean (import), medium rice, fine iodized salt, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), curly red chilies, mackerel, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Fine iodized salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping by Rp210 (2.24%) to Rp9,570 per kg. Red chili peppers saw the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp710 (2.23%) to Rp31,090 per kg.
