Sumatera Selatan's Current Food Prices: Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (20/8/2024) at 10:25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, broiler chicken, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, red cayenne pepper, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp350 (1.3%) to Rp27,220 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices decreased the most by Rp570 (1.52%) to Rp36,840 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on August 20, 2024, at 10:25 WIB.
