Latest Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

Food prices in Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Tuesday (21/5/2024) at 13.01 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, bulk cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken meat, medium rice, skipjack tuna, and premium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,390 (3.25%) to Rp44,220 per kg. Chicken meat saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp1,620 (4.23%) to Rp36,720 per kg.
