Current Food Prices in Indonesia: Prices of Sugar, Rice, and Chilies Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (14/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, pure beef, mackerel, milkfish, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Skipjack tuna experienced the highest price increase of Rp190 (0.61%) to Rp31,220 per kg. Milkfish experienced the largest price decrease of Rp710 (2.16%) to Rp32,230 per kg.
