Central Java Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall (Friday, March 15, 2024)

Food prices in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Friday (15/3/2024) at 08.01 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, red chilies, mackerel, iodized fine salt, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as premium rice, farmer-level corn, chicken eggs, bulk cooking oil, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp11,660 (98.48%) to Rp23,500 per kg. Garlic cloves saw the lowest price decrease of Rp6,510 (17.83%) to Rp30,000 per kg.

2. Curly Red Chili: Rp60,000 per kg (up 2.16%)

4. Skipjack Tuna: Rp38,000 per kg (up 15.4%)
5. Mackerel: Rp37,000 per kg (up 18.89%)
6. Milkfish: Rp36,000 per kg (up 6.7%)
7. Chicken Meat: Rp34,000 per kg (down 11.69%)
8. Garlic Cloves: Rp30,000 per kg (down 17.83%)
9. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,000 per kg (down 5.81%)
10. Red Onion: Rp28,000 per kg (down 8.79%)
11. Iodized Fine Salt: Rp23,500 per kg (up 98.48%)
