Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic period in 2020, economic growth in this region is significantly higher. Previously, at the end of 2020, post-COVID growth was recorded at a decrease of 3.11%.
According to BPS publications, with a total population of 871,570, the GRDP per capita in this region is recorded at Rp138.7 million/capita/year. Nationally, this GRDP per capita ranks 44th.
Of the 17 sectors driving economic activity in this regency, the manufacturing industry is the leading sector.
The manufacturing industry in Kudus Regency is the mainstay sector and contributed the largest share to the GRDP in 2023, reaching Rp94.74 billion. This GRDP grew by 1.24% compared to the previous year's Rp90.09 billion.
Second is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 5.09% to Rp7.1 billion; the construction sector grew by 3.04% to Rp4.42 billion.
In addition, other sectors contributing to the top five are financial and insurance services with a GRDP of Rp2.43 billion.
