South Kalimantan Food Price Update Today: Oil Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down (Saturday, January 20, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Kalimantan today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (20/1/2024) at 12:45 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, medium rice, skipjack tuna, milkfish, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as curly red chilies, garlic bulbs, granulated sugar, iodized fine salt, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,270 (4.2%) to Rp31,490 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of broiler chicken experienced the lowest decrease, dropping Rp2,090 (5.38%) to Rp36,740 per kg.
