Daily Prices of Large Red Chilies in Modern Markets of Central Java Province Increased by 64.02% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in Central Java Province showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets has increased from Rp54,750 per kg.

Over the past three months, the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in Central Java has increased by 37.62% from the previous price of Rp65,250 per kg.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of large red chilies in modern markets in this province was in February 2017, with a 91.09% increase, while the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2017, at -47.67%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) in Central Java show nine commodities decreased and 21 increased. The commodities with decreased prices are: Super I Quality Rice, Below I Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium I Quality Rice, Quality 2 Beef, Medium II Quality Rice, Quality 1 Beef, Beef, and Rice.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today, compared to price changes over the past month in Central Java Province:

1. Medium-sized Garlic per kg: Rp56,300 per kg (up 5.83%)
2. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp22,300 per kg (up 5.94%)
3. Super I Quality Rice per kg: Rp17,350 per kg (down 3.88%)
4. Red Chili per kg: Rp83,300 per kg (up 55.7%)
5. Super II Quality Rice per kg: Rp16,550 per kg (up 0.61%)
6. Below I Quality Rice per kg: Rp13,050 per kg (down 1.14%)
7. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp21,300 per kg (down 0.23%)
8. Chicken Meat per kg: Rp45,450 per kg (up 3.18%)
9. Large Red Chili per kg: Rp89,800 per kg (up 64.02%)
10. Medium I Quality Rice per kg: Rp14,850 per kg (down 1.33%)
11. Quality 2 Beef per kg: Rp192,650 per kg (down 2.11%)
12. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp21,650 per kg (up 2.12%)
13. Chicken Eggs per kg: Rp27,550 per kg (up 0.92%)
14. Medium II Quality Rice per kg: Rp14,000 per kg (down 1.06%)
