Food Prices Today in D.I. Yogyakarta: Salt Up, Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in D.I. Yogyakarta today were observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) at 14:17 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 11 commodities saw price increases and 11 saw decreases.

Commodities with price increases include consumption salt, pure beef, broiler chicken, large red chili, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, dried soybeans (imported), milkfish, mackerel, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour commodity saw the highest jump of Rp386 (3.4%) to Rp11,750 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili dropped the most by Rp1,017 (4.0%) to Rp24,438 per kg.
