Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra on February 20: Chicken Meat and Cooking Oil Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in South Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 20, 2026) at 17:13 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 5 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are bulk granulated sugar, large red chilies, curly red chilies, broiler chicken eggs, and premium packaged palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as beef rump, Honan garlic, red cayenne peppers, Minyakita, and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,438 (3.29%) to Rp45,094 per kg. Red cayenne pepper prices decreased the most by Rp778 (1.24%) to Rp61,833 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,618 per kg (up 0.24%)
6. Shallots: Rp36,529 per kg (down 0.59%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp34,208 per kg (down 0.85%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,480 per kg (up 0.07%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,565 per liter (up 0.1%)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,147 per kg (up 0.06%)
