East Java Food Prices Thursday (17/10): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Thursday (17/10/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include garlic bulbs, shallots, granulated sugar, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, red chilies, premium rice, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour saw the highest price increase of Rp270 (2.87%) to Rp9,670 per kg. Indian mackerel experienced the largest price drop, falling Rp490 (1.49%) to Rp32,420 per kg.
