Current Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Onion and Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (29/6/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, bulk cooking oil, shallots, granulated sugar, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp350 (3.1%) to Rp11,640 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp2,160 (4.48%) to Rp46,080 per kg.
