In November 2022, inflation was 0.09% (month-on-month).

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reported an inflation rate of 0.09% in November 2022 compared to the previous month (month-to-month/m-to-m), with the consumer price index (CPI) at 112.85. This is the lowest inflation rate in the last four months.

Compared to November 2021, inflation was 5.42% (year-on-year/yoy). Accumulated inflation from January to November 2022 was 4.82% (year-to-date/ytd).

Inflation was driven by several expenditure groups. These include clothing and footwear at 0.12% (m-to-m), followed by housing, water, electricity, and household fuel at 0.07% (m-to-m), and household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance at 0.23% (m-to-m).

The expenditure groups contributing to inflation in November 2022 were: clothing and footwear at 0.01%; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel at 0.01%; and household equipment, tools, and routine maintenance at 0.01%.

Of the 90 cities surveyed by BPS, 62 recorded inflation and 28 recorded deflation.

The highest inflation in Java was in Jember, East Java, at 0.81% (m-to-m). In Sumatra, the highest inflation was in Tembilahan at 0.21% (m-to-m). In Kalimantan, the highest inflation was in Singkawang at 0.44%.

The highest inflation in Sulawesi was in Mamuju at 0.42% (m-to-m). The highest inflation in Bali and Nusa Tenggara was in Maumere at 0.43% (m-to-m), and the highest inflation in Maluku and Papua was in Ambon at 1.15% (m-to-m).
