Rupiah Strengthens to Rp 15,871 per US Dollar (Tuesday, October 24, 2023)

As of 10:49 WIB this morning, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market is traded at Rp 15,871 per US dollar on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. This exchange rate strengthened by 0.03% compared to the previous day's closing price of Rp 15,875 per US dollar. The daily exchange rate movement is expected to range from Rp 15,901 to Rp 15,941.10 per US dollar.

According to investing.com, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has been under pressure, weakening by 1.2% in the past week. Compared to 30 days ago, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has weakened by 3.23%.

This month, the rupiah exchange rate is at its lowest point in the past year. In the spot market, the rupiah exchange rate has fallen to its highest level of Rp 15,875 per US dollar.

From January to October 2023, the rupiah exchange rate in the spot market has shown a weakening trend, moving 3.23% compared to the level of Rp 15,375 per US dollar a month ago.

The current condition of the rupiah exchange rate follows most regional currencies that are weakening against the US dollar.

This morning, according to several major currencies monitored by Bank Indonesia, the South Korean won weakened by 4.8 points (+0.36%) to KRW 1357.69 per US dollar, the Japanese yen weakened by 0.2 points (+0.14%), the Singapore dollar weakened (+0.14%), the euro weakened (+0.21%), and the Chinese yuan strengthened by 0.08 points (-0.01%).
